Canary Guitar Build Pix

Perusing the Warmoth website last year, I came across this korina with canary top body, and immediately I could see the possibilities for a kind of Fender/Gibson mashup.  Let the fun begin!  Again I sourced parts from several different vendors.

The neck is a Mighty Mite (mm2925) Fender Strat replacement: birdseye maple with mother of pearl dots, jumbo frets and a 9 1/2 " radius. I dropped in an Earvana compensating nut. The bridge is a floating trem (VS100). The pickups are Seymour Duncan: a Alnico II pro in the neck and a Custom Custom in the bridge. Push-pull tone pot to coil tap the neck pickup.  Gotoh tuners.  Total build was about $850 for parts/supplies.  Really pretty, plays great and a wide range of tones.  Here's a few pix:
